Wild pigs can be pests.
In California, farmers are allowed to get hunting permits when their crops are destroyed by these wild beasts.
A farmer who owns an almond orchard just south of Bakersfield was fed up with the pigs, so he called in Erik Sun and his friend, Erez, to mitigate the damage to his crop.
Sun is a chef and part owner of L.A. restaurants Bestia and Republique and loves to cook up food that he has hunted himself; recent meals include wild duck, scallops and a lot of wild pig.
Since April, he and Erez have killed over 60 pigs. That's a lot of wild boar ragu.
