Around the world in a day
What if you could see the world in one day?
Saturday, March 22 marked the third annual 24 Hour Project on Instagram, the world's largest street photography experiment.
Taking part in the 24 Hour Project is like an Instagram marathon. Photographers stayed up from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, traveling through their city and taking pictures.
Each photographer posted one photo each hour for the 24 hours, using the hashtag #24hr14.
By the numbers:
- 900 photographers
- 312 cities
- 72 countries
- 6 continents
Check out this amazing map of all the cities documented during the project.
Street photographers Sam Smotherman (Los Angeles) and Renzo Grande (New York City), who first met through Instagram, founded the 24 Hour Project three years ago.
