First Person: Spreading the love of books

Twelve-year-old Luke Quezada is a 7th grader at South Pasadena Middle School.

He hit upon the idea of taking some discarded material in his family's backyard and transforming it into what he calls a "book swap library."

People come by and drop off books and take books.

While library books have to be returned, "here you can keep it," he says, adding, "not only are you getting a book, you're also helping the community."
