Focusing on the Unfocused

The past few years have seen an explosion in awareness of the work of Latino photographers.

En Foco's exhibit in Venice, Calif., brings together the work of dozens of photographers who have turned their attention to some of the world's most undocumented stories.

Founded in 1974, En Foco started in New York to promote Latino photographers and has since expanded to support imagemakers from diverse cultures that are often overlooked in contemporary photography.

The traveling exhibit at Venice Arts Gallery showcases 56 photographers from En Foco's permanent collection and is part of Los Angeles Month of Photography until May 5th.
